I’ve been compiling some feedback from some of our past “CBA Broadcasting Scholarship” winners, and I thought I’d post it below for your encouragement.
“The Christian Broadcasting Association has helped me in ways that I never expected. The monetary support of the scholarship enabled me to focus my time on becoming a better broadcaster, thus someone who was better able to spread this Christian message. The financial support of the scholarship was a big help as a student; but beyond that I feel that this connected me to a unique and important family. This is a family that delivers a message, supports those that deliver this and importantly enables us to deliver this message to those that have never received it before. As an announcer for Classic Hits, I have readily used the resources of the CBA to aid my shows and for me as a broadcaster. I am indebted to the CBA and their supporters for helping me to be in the place where I am today.” – Jordan B
“Winning the CBA scholarship in 2009 was a huge blessing to me... I think the greatest part about winning it was knowing that I had a fantastic support network of people who not only supported me financially but practically and spiritually. As a Christian in the mainstream media it's a huge encouragement to know there are organisations such as CBA working to bring about the same goals and visions for this industry as I have. Furthermore, winning the scholarship gave me a huge confidence boost in terms of confirming my calling in this industry and showing me how valuable my Christian faith is in the work that I do.” – Emily M
"Being as recipient of the CBA Scholarship helped me to realise there are real avenues out there where you can use your career and your faith together - being a proud Christian and aiming to work in the media doesn't have to be mutually exclusive!" – Jennifer S
“CBA's support for me as someone entering the media industry has been invaluable. The team is an example of how to do media well, and that's encouraging to watch. More than that, CBA has taken an active interest in encouraging and mentoring me, and that has been hugely important in helping me work my way through the first couple of years of work. I have no doubt CBA will continue to be a huge support and example to me as I continue in my career. CBA really has been amazing and I actually don't know how I would have made it without you! Particularly being able to go to Compass, and really nut out the way that my faith impacts my profession/professionalism. Thanks heaps for all the opportunities and support!” – Narelle S
