Lockdown's been busy

Despite three months of lockdown, we’ve been very active: running Zoom events, pastoral catch-ups via phone, providing media training to church and Christian leaders, having members of our team on various media outlets and panels, such as Newstalk ZB’s Weekend Collective, contributing to online forums, and growing our engagement with NZ media through Instagram and Twitter.

Journalist David Farrier recently quoted CBA’s Lead Media Chaplain Rev Frank Ritchie extensively in one of his articles; which led to Frank being asked to contribute to a widely read article hyperbolically titled A Battle to the Death between an Atheist and a Christian, in which Frank wrote about why ‘Religion is Good’. While this is not the sort of approach we usually take, it was great to be invited to be part of this – and significant that so many people, who don’t have a faith, were so interested.
