Upskilling Salties

Our most recent Salt gathering in Auckland was attended by more than 100 Christians working in the media, as well as several around the country who tuned in online via our live video stream. The Salt Soirée showcased Salties’ work, celebrated our latest scholarship winners, and also included a panel discussion focused on the highs and lows of working in the media.

We had the incredible opportunity to give away a $10,000 Upskill Fund, funded by two generous donors. The grant was open to every member of Salt around New Zealand with the focus on upskilling in their careers, sparking creativity and ensuring our Salties have what they need to succeed in the media industry.

We received a huge number of applications and ended up splitting it across 14 people, which included funding a journalist attending a photography course, a radio presenter receiving voice coaching and video editing training for a television producer.
