Newstalk ZB newsreader Bernadine Oliver-Kerby voiced the headlines from the day of Jesus’ crucifixion on our fictitious station Newstalk 33AD.
Last Easter we produced a series of short bulletins transporting listeners 2,000 years back in time to the day of Jesus’ crucifixion.
Our fictitious radio station broadcasting the news of Jesus’ death was called Newstalk 33AD.
This year we’re repeating the series throughout our Good Friday broadcast on Newstalk ZB.
Each short episode plays every hour of the day from 7:30am to 4:30pm reporting in “real time” the events that would have taken place throughout the original Good Friday.
Tune in to Newstalk 33AD!Where: Newstalk ZB & Radio Sport (find your frequency here.) When: Every hour on the half hour from 7:30am til 4:30pm on Good Friday.
We’re currently working on updating and refreshing the series with a few more timely references, but for now, you can listen to last year’s series below.
The premise of Newstalk 33AD was adapted from our multi-award-winning nativity radio play, Newstalk BC.
