Where is God in a Coronavirus World?

Peter Wolfkamp and Tash McGill kicked off our 12 hours of Good Friday programming on Newstalk ZB this year.

A highlight of the show was an interview with author Professor John Lennox about his new book entitled, Where is God in a Coronavirus World? In the book, Lennox goes through some of the arguments many bring up when it comes to finding solace and comfort from the Christian message – especially during a crisis such as Covid-19.

“Christianity doesn’t offer a quick fix to any illness or disease but offers us something that Covid-19 can’t touch and that is a relationship with God,” John told listeners.

Other highlights during the three-hour show included interviews with comedian Michelle A’Court about keeping spirits up, Kiwi musician Jeremy Redmore on writing songs in lockdown, and this perspective from Steve Taylor on how New Zealand churches have responded to the challenges of COVID-19 in the lead up to Easter.

The show also included interview snippets from Newstalk ZB’s new limited run podcast, produced by CBA and hosted by Tash McGill, called “Faith in the Time of Corona”.
