A new way of broadcasting

“Nothing prepares you for that. We do university degrees to become journalists but there’s not a paper on how to look death in the face and survive it and report on it and then continue.” - Joy Reid

With thousands of podcasts released globally every week, there is a whole new world of news, entertainment and information available to listeners.

Podcasts are a form of radio content that is available to listen to at any time on the internet, and on smartphones. They are to radio what Netflix is to TV. Over the past few years, there has been a steady rise in the popularity of podcasts in New Zealand with more than 600,000 Kiwis listening to audio podcasts every day (Source: NZ On Air).

CBA has kept pace. Over the years, we have had to constantly update ourselves and use a variety of channels to share the Christian faith, continually keeping up with rapid changes in technology.

In the last five years, we have produced a range of both missional and commercial podcasts. We’re now working on podcast projects with Radio New Zealand, Mediaworks and NZME.

When's the best time to plant a tree?

“When’s the best time to plant a tree? 20 years ago. When is the second-best time? Today”.

CBA is focused on looking ahead. We are continuously future-proofing to ensure we are reaching those who have yet to hear the good news of the Gospel. Growing CBA’s media ministry and investing in the future of our unique programming requires the financial backing of supporters, such as yourself.
